Supraspinatus

Origin: Supraspinous fossa of the scapula Insertion: Greater tubercle of the humerus Action: Abducts and laterally rotates the shoulder.  Stabilises the shoulder by by pulling the humeral head into the glenoid.

Infraspinatus

Origin: Infraspinous fossa of the scapula Insertion: Greater tubercle of the humerus Action: Laterally rotates the shoulder.   Stabilises the shoulder by by pulling the humeral head into the glenoid.

Teres Minor

Origin: Upper two-thirds of the lateral border of the scapula Insertion: Greater tubercle of the humerus Action: Laterally rotates the shoulder.   Stabilises the shoulder by by pulling the humeral head into the glenoid.

Subscapularis

Origin: Subscapular fossa of the scapula Insertion: Lesser tubercle of the humerus Action: Medially rotates the shoulder.   Stabilises the shoulder by by pulling the humeral head into the glenoid.
