How much water should I drink a day?
Being properly hydrated is a vital part of maintaining good health and performance. But most of us are dehydrated every day!
Without enough water in your body, your cells get congested, your body can’t detox, your muscles and organs won’t function properly and you’ll feel tired and eat more too! Water is critical to the balance of all the body’s systems!
So how much water should we be drinking?
Here is a great little calculation to give you an idea of how much you should be drinking every day:
Your body weight in kilos x 0.033 = Litres per day
eg… 70kg x 0.033 = 2.31 Litres of water
Considerations – On a hot day, you should add another litre to your intake and also add another litre for every hour of intense exercise you perform.
